LANAP

Our Family, Caring for Yours!

What Is LANAP?

Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure is the first and only FDA approved method to achieve “true regeneration” and re-growth of gum tissues when treating gum disease. We can achieve new bone growth around teeth that had previous bone loss.

How Long Does The LANAP Procedure Take?

The length of the procedure varies depending on the severity of each patient. The dentist will discuss with each patient the duration of his or her procedure.

Is There Any Discomfort With LANAP?

There is very little discomfort with LANAP since there is no cutting involved, no blades, no sutures are used. This method is better because it is less painful, minimum bleeding and swelling as opposed to traditional gum surgery. Additionally, it is less invasive to gums, meaning less sensitivity and faster recovery for the patient.

Will I Have Restrictions After The Procedure?

Yes, the procedure will require the patient to be on a liquid diet and avoid brushing or flossing for up to a week after. The dentist will make sure to discuss the diet and hygiene the patient should follow after the surgery.
